WELLWOOD MERINO STUD

Wellwood Merino Stud lies at the foot of the Sneeuberg mountains to the North of the Karoo town of Graaff-Reinet, on the farm bearing its same name. Wellwood is one of the oldest and most respected Merino studs in the country. Since the stud’s establishment in 1838, five generations of Rubidge sons, with the dedicated support and encouragement of their families, have consistently bred outstanding Merino sheep. The evolution of quality in the South African Merino has been positively affected by each of the five generations of Wellwood Rubidges.
